About Us

Age  of  Penda Re-enactment  Society  was  founded over  30 years  ago by Andy Colley (pictured below) and who runs the society  to this  day.
We  are  a  family  friendly  society,  re-enacting the life  and  times  of  King Penda  of  Mercia,  through  to the  Battle  of   Hastings  in 1066.
Our  members  are all ages and  from  all  walks  of  life, coming  together  to  share  their passion  for  history.

Recruitment  takes  place  all  year  round,  so  if  you  would  like  to  experience  how  your  ancestors  lived and  worked  then  come  along  and  join  us.
